Breathing Dreams like Air in the Drop-Top

28 Days until Departure

There is nothing like the freedom I felt driving with the wind in my hair, Okanagan sunshine tanning my face and the smell of the bountiful fruit trees all around. Insert my favourite song at maximum volume (obviously!), an open convertible roof to fist pump without limitation, great friends and a winery route. Three years of amazing memories flood into my head and a huge smile covers my face as I re-read that last line.

Even as I sign the papers over to my baby’s new owner, I have to remind myself – ‘why the eff am I doing this again?!’

Fill your life with experiences not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show

Selling my car means a hiking trek through the Himalayan mountain range, fire hoola hoop on a Thai beach, hiking beside magnificent waterfalls in Croatia, bike rides through the Amsterdam countryside, visiting an orangutang sanctuary in Borneo, scuba diving the most vibrant reefs in the world, yoga on beaches at sunset and about a thousand (maybe even a million) life lessons along the way. I plan to travel as much as I can, as far as I can, for as long as I can. I want to be so sparkly that glitter is coming out my pores. And although my Solara did give me freedom, this adventure is going to give me a richness that no tangible thing ever could. After all, cars can always be rebought but the opportunity to travel is priceless
